In the Words of My Passport: Indian Take Away with Friends

After visiting Hampton Court Palace, we made our way to friends in North London for a dinner of Indian take-away, but most importantly to visit with their new baby. It was a fun evening. Looking forward to seeing them all in August.

2012 Travels

2011 was certainly a busy year. Not much traveling except for the New Year holiday in the UK and then a first time trip to Charleston, South Carolina. 2012 proved to be a busier travel year, with the big trip this past Spring.

This year my goal is not only blog of our travels, but also of my gardening, cooking and what's the latest novel I am delving into which all seem like trips around the world.

The Reason I Blog

A number of years ago, I read Under the Tuscan Sun, by Frances Mayes and later saw the movie. I thought that I would never connect so much with another story than that of Frances Mayes' journey. But, I was wrong. A couple of year ago, I read Elizabeth Gilbert's own experience in her book Eat, Pray Love. Although the movie was good, the book was so much more descriptive and alone made a huge impact on me.

Why do I travel? Well, read the book. Seriously though, travel is a privilege, a lesson, a release.
